What did I learn in the first week of CST-426S?

This first week of CST-426S set the foundation for the course by introducing the intersection of professional ethics and service learning. Basically, the course started off with a discussion on professional ethics, which asked us to think critically about our responsibilities, fairness, accountability, and societal impact of the work we do in the field. We were also asked to define our research topic with a group, which was about narrowing down a focused area of inquiry that would guide the research paper throughout the semester. We also submitted a service project plan, laying out our schedule and responsibilities, and completed our first weekly service update to track our initial hours and reflections. Overall, this week was about establishing our working hours, group, and understanding of the course.
